Pictured is Cranbrook Elementary School principal, Cynthia Ball, accepting a $500 donation of Staples gift cards from Columbus Old Dogs Lacrosse representative Jim Bean.  The donation is a thank you from Old Dogs Lacrosse for the use of the school’s field as their outdoor game field.  Principal Ball is also shown holding the donated gift cards and a defensive crosse.  Old Dogs Lacrosse uses the field from spring through fall for their weekly lacrosse games on Thursday and Sunday evenings and for games they host against other masters-plus (35+) teams in Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan area.

Columbus Old Dogs Lacrosse (www.olddogslacrosse.com) is a group of masters-level and above (age 35+) men from the entire Columbus metro area who gather to honor the game of lacrosse in the manner of those first given the game.  We play a medicine game, a game that is played for the pleasure of the Creator to watch, to benefit those that play, and to benefit the lacrosse community.  The friendships, bonds and fellowship with our fellow lacrosse players are of high importance.

The experience of the Old Dogs ranges from those who played in college or high school to those who picked up the game later in life when their sons or daughters began to play.  An excitement for the game, an eagerness to improve, a desire to play to one’s ability, and a willingness to aid one another are prized characteristics of Columbus Old Dogs Lacrosse.  New players are welcome.
